Who is the adventure diarist?

 My name is Simone Fick and the following quote is very fitting:

Wanderlust consumed her; foreign hearts and exotic minds compelled her. She had a gypsy soul and a vibrant hope for the unknown.

As soon as I started travelling, I wanted to keep a diary of everything! The world out there is so amazing and there are so many things to explore. Being away from family and friends a lot of the time, they continuously asked for updates and photos. I wanted to share my eudaimonia with everyone, in the hopes that they can feel it too.

Even thou I’ve always wanted to travel, my travels started for work purposes. I work with marine mammals, and all the different projects and volunteer opportunities took me to places that I’ve never seen before.The hidden secrets, animals, and people you meet along the way make the long journeys all worth while.

Why start a blog:

Starting a blog I could share my experiences with the world, give people ideas on where to go and show them the possibilities out there, (and keep the family up to date). It was also a great idea to prevent me from forgetting any details and amazing experiences I would want to cherish forever. When someone asks you how your trip was, you want to say numinous. That’s how a journey for me should be, to build character and create lasting moments and that’s what I hope I can inspire others to see the world and experience it.
